Feed your brain and your body while connecting with other like-minded professionals and participating in a presentation/discussion on sustainability issues relevant to the Erie region.
Brown Bag Inspiration is a NEW monthly series being hosted by the Northwest Branch of the Green Building Alliance on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 108 of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center.
The inaugural event for the Brown Bag Inspiration series will feature Ben Pratt, Director of Research at Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership and Project Coordinator for Destination Erie: A Regional Vision. Destination Erie is a regional plan for sustainable development, designed to combine community insights with a team of some of the nation's best regional planning experts to create a comprehensive vision to build economic competitiveness by connecting housing with family supporting jobs, a healthy environment, quality schools, and smart transportation. Ben will be sharing the progress made thus far on the project to revitalize Erie and how you can get involved in remaking Erie's future.
Throughout the remainder of the year, various issues will be presented by local/regional experts with an opportunity to discuss following the presentation. Suggested topics for this year include; value added agriculture, the economic impact of climate change, land banking, and transportation, among many others.
