Pittsburgh 2030 District Biking Tour
Green Building Alliance
October 2, 2012
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Take in Pittsburgh’s 2030 District from a different vantage point, by bicycle!
Program Overview
Join us for a special Bike Trip, exploring about the 2030 District, as we bike across the Smithfield Bridge to downtown's 2030 District. Led by 2030 District team member, Aurora Sharrard, an expert bicyclist, naturalist and 2030 District expert, this adventure will be a trip both into the past and the future. Biking in downtown's 2030 District, we will see downtown Pittsburgh from a completely new angle. Like overgrown crystals rising from the earth, city skyscrapers form a strange juxtaposition to the green ribbons of vegetation along the river’s edge. Aurora will stop along the way to point out the various green buildings and 2030 District Partners.
Space is limited, so register today to see Pittsburgh from a whole new angle.
We will be taking off from the River Trail parking lot, located behind GBA's offices, along the river.

The events calendar is packed with a wide range of great programs and networking opportunities. In Western PA, I don’t know of a better resource in the area of sustainability than the Green Building Alliance.” - Phil Dorenkott, Landau Building Company
