Advocacy for High Performing Buildings

Green Building Alliance (GBA) works to educate Western Pennsylvania stakeholders  involved in the built environment about the advantages of high performance buildings. Sharing this information with public officials while supporting legislation and public policies that promote principles of healthy and high performance buildings has become a major priority for the organization.

GBA has and continues to work with a variety of stakeholders to draft, respond to, and advocate for policies and legislation that supports healthy and high performance buildings.

When necessary, GBA has and will :

• Recommend local, state and federal public policies and legislation on which GBA should take a position.
• Provide calls-to-action on legislation for which GBA has taken a position to our membership, urging them to write, email, and call policymakers when specific and relevant legislation starts to move through the lawmaking process.
